God is good. We don’t always get things right, but God does.
Even when I’m sure I’ve messed everything up, said the wrong thing, done the wrong thing, God is able to work it out for my good (Romans 8:28). He’s able to work it out for His glory. He’s able to work it out to draw others to Himself (John 12:32). He’s able to work it out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
That’s a promise. That’s His promise. And He’s faithful to keep His promises.
I will make mistakes. I will sin and fall short (Romans 3:23). That’s the way things are. I’m not God. I’m not perfect. I will be faithless (2 Timothy 2:13).
But praise His name! He is God, able to do infinitely more than I can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). He’s able to make all things beautiful (Ecclesiastes 3:11). He’s perfect. He’s holy. He’s faithful.
I repent, I humble myself, I give it all to Him, I believe God. Seventy times seven times. I believe God and it’s credited to me as righteousness (Romans 4:22).
I take Him at His word. I proclaim His faithfulness. I proclaim these promises. I proclaim that He’ll take my shame and give me His glory. I proclaim that He’ll work it out for good. Because He is good. This one’s on Him.
