God Made Today

This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). I write this a lot. I think I’ve had a few other posts about it. But I don’t think I can overdo this one.

This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.

This day, God made. God made this day. Sun or rain, wind or waves, God made today.

Happy or sad, foggy or clear, good mood or bad mood, God made today.

God alone is the Creator. The enemy can’t create. The enemy did not make this day. He may be stirring up trouble, but he didn’t create this day. No one can create but our God.

God alone is the Creator. We can’t create. We did not make this day. Our thoughts may not be captivated in Christ, or our thoughts may be running rampant. Our mood may not reflect our Creator’s love, or joy, or peace, but this day? Today? Our God created it. He made it for us.

God created the heavens and the earth. He created the day and the night. He created every living thing. He made it amazing and beautiful. Then He created us, and He gave it to us.

He created this day for each one of us. The sun rose by His hand. It will set by His hand. This is the day that the Lord has made.

And now, I rejoice. I will rejoice and be glad in it. The enemy may be wreaking havoc, yet I will rejoice in God. I will thank Him for this day because He is good.

I may be upset, brokenhearted, plain old cranky, yet I will rejoice in God. He alone is worthy, the Creator of everything, the giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17).

Everything may be going my way today. I may be feeling great, happy, cheerful, at peace. I will rejoice in God. My God is a great God over all the earth. He is my delight, my portion forever.

This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

“As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!” (Haggai 2:5)
