Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
Your Word. God’s Word. That’s my light. God’s Word lights my path. God’s Word is my lamp.
It’s pretty important. God’s Word is vital. I need it.
One thing is needful (Luke 10:42). God’s Word…Jesus.
Jesus is the Word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). All things came into being by Him…(John 1:3). In Him was life, and the life was the light of men (John 1:4).
Jesus is the Word — from the beginning. Jesus is the light of men.
The Word is the light of men.
Thy Word…is a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
We shine as lights…holding fast the word of life… (Philippians 2:15-16).
So we shine like Jesus, holding fast to Jesus.
Jesus is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Lord Jesus, let me hold fast to You. Let me shine as You. Let my path be lit by You, Lord of mercy, Lord of love. Amen.
