But You, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head (Psalm 3:3).
The Lord is my shield, my covering, my protection, no matter what comes my way. He is that for us, His children and bride.
Whether it’s people or false accusers, He is our shield. Whether it’s fears or errant thoughts, He is our shield. Whether it’s sins or bad choices, He is our shield.
No matter my enemy or adversary, the Lord is my shield. He lifts my head. He sustains me. (Psalm 3:1,2,5)

Do not let anyone say, “There is no deliverance for you in God (Psalm 3:2).” For God is our salvation. Salvation belongs to the Lord (Psalm 3:8).
God is our deliverance. The enemy — our enemies — would have us lost in a sea of hopelessness: hopeless thoughts, hopeless feelings, hopeless beliefs. But God is our shield. He is all about us. And He is our deliverance.
Nothing is impossible with the Lord. He lifts our heads (Psalm 3:3). We cry to Him and He answers (Psalm 3:4). He sustains us (Psalm 3:5). He will arise (Psalm 3:7). He will smite our enemies (Psalm 3:7). He will bless His people (Psalm 3:8).
No matter your enemy or adversary, whether people, fears, thoughts, or bad choices, cry to the Lord (Psalm 3:4). Humble yourself before Him. Obey Him. Listen to Him.
Wait on Him. Rest in Him. Receive His care. He sustains you. (Psalm 3:5)
And He is our shield. He lifts our heads. He is our salvation.
Salvation belongs to the Lord; May Your blessing be upon Your people (Psalm 3:8)!
