Oh Father, I am heartbroken. It all seems impossible.
Though, nothing is impossible with You (Luke 1:37; Matthew 19:26).
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).”
I am so burdened. I come to You with this burden — again.
I am so weary. I come to You — again.
I am weary with my sighing. Every night I make my bed swim, I flood my couch with my tears (Psalm 6:6).
Give me rest, Lord.
How do I rest?
“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls…(Jeremiah 6:16).”
I need to hear Your voice, Lord. Let me not harden my heart. Let me hear and heed Your voice.
This is a day of trial. Let my heart be soft towards You. Let my heart receive Your Word. Let my heart hear You, Jesus.
Let me honor You, not test You.
I have seen Your mighty works. I look back at Your faithfulness to me. Time and again, You’ve answered me. I’ve cried out for years and You’ve stepped in. You are faithful. I’ve seen it.
You are faithful. I need to see it again. Let me know Your ways. Let me walk in them.
Let me enter Your rest.
“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind (Matthew 22:37).”
I love You, Jesus. I stand in Your ways. I love you with all my heart and leave my burden with You. For nothing is impossible with You.
I want this fixed. Only You can do it.
Today, I hear You. Today, I do not harden my heart. Today, I love You. And tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, and for all eternity.
You are the One who sees all. You are the One who knows all.
I will praise You. I will stand by Your ways, see You, obey You, and walk in You.
I will rest in You.
You alone are mighty to save (Zephaniah 3:17).
You alone are faithful.
