Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). Pray for the peace of our nation.
My heart breaks for my nation right now. Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). What’s going on right now is not abundant life.
Jesus came that we might have peace. He is our peace (Ephesians 2:14). There is no peace right now.
Jesus prayed for unity and oneness with Him and His Father (John 1:21). There is no unity right now.
Jesus is our life, our peace, our identity. I pray that believers are entering His rest right now. I pray we are living the life of Christ, meek and mild (Matthew 5:5). I pray we are living the peace of Christ. I pray we are living in unity with Him and with each other, loving one another deeply (1 Peter 4:8).

Jesus teaches us to live in humility, to turn the other cheek, to pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:39, 44-46).
He never said we wouldn’t have enemies. He never said we wouldn’t be treated wickedly. A servant is not above his master (Matthew 10:24).
But He did tell us how to respond — in humility and peace. And He did promise to be with us (Matthew 28:20).
Let’s pray for our nation. Let’s minister His love. He’s rescued us. He’s the answer to the test. Let’s give away the answer. This isn’t school where a teacher will fail us if we cheat and show our answers to our neighbor. This is Jesus. His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Show the answer to your neighbor. Let’s pray for peace.
God have mercy on us. Have mercy on our nation. You are life and love.
