Good Things and Dwelling With God

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly Psalm 84:11.

God has it all taken care of, all my worries and concerns. I praise, I sing for joy, and I dwell in His house. He shields me, covers me, hears me, and works all things to my good. He withholds no good thing from me.

I may feel like He’s withholding good from me, but how can that be? For He is good. My feelings and perceptions and beliefs are not always good. But He is always good and He does not withhold Himself from me.

Psalm 84:1

My heart and my flesh may fail, but He withholds no good thing. For He is good.

How lovely are Thy dwelling places, O Lord of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. (Psalm 84:1-2)

This life is temporal, but to dwell with Him is eternal. So my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.

How lovely are Thy dwelling places, O Lord of hosts (v.1)! It’s where I want to stay. It’s where I want to be.
