Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name (Ps. 103:1 NASB). Let all that is within me proclaim that You alone are the Most High over all the earth (Ps. 83:18).
When terrors come my way, let me remember You always. The only wise God (Ro. 16:27). My God.
When storms and floods come, let me praise Your name, even when I don’t understand. You are trustworthy. You are the Most High. You are over all the earth.
You are not bound by circumstance. You are not bound by the ways of this world. You can step in and calm the waves with Your Word.
I may be in the boat, in the middle of the sea, vulnerable to the elements, but You are there with me. And You love me.
You make a way. You create a way. Because You are the way.
Everything feels impossible to me. I look around and know that I can’t do it. Not without You. Not in my human strength. Us humans can do a lot, but we can’t do what You can do.
And if I try, if I try to do Your job, I’ll mess it up. I’m not God. And I can’t see everything, from every angle, from every dimension.
You see all, and You are all. You are over all, infinite in wisdom and knowledge. I wonder how this can be, how You can see and know everything, all at once. Yet I never have an answer, because I am limited.
How can I, as a limited creature, comprehend the unlimited Creator? If I say that I can, that I’ve figured You out, then I, in my limited wisdom, have made myself a fool. How can the created rise above the Creator?
Your thoughts are above my thoughts. Your ways are higher than my ways. (Is. 55:9) You are the Most High God.
May Your praises always be on my lips. You alone are God, the Most High God.
